3rd-level transmutation (ritual)
Casting time: 1 action
Range: One object
Components: V, S, M (prepared paper worth 25 gp)
Casting this spell will cause one piece of paper to be duplicated exactly on a specially prepared piece of paper. The target paper must be of the same material as the original, at least in general composition (and, indeed, one way to foil this spell is to write on paper that is impossible to reproduce). The material need only be the same species or substance, it need not be from the same source. So, if a document is written on papyrus made from reeds of the Zaber River, the material component for the spell needs only be papyrus, regardless of where the reeds came from. For the purposes of this spell, a page is about 8" wide by 10" high and can contain text, drawings, etc. The information is copied exactly, including stains, marks, flaws, etc., except that the new page becomes bright purple. Therefore, writing in the same shade of purple ink is another form of proof against reproduction using this spell.
